SUBSTANTIAL VERDICT FOR REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST
THE BERENT LAW FIRM secured a verdict of just under $400,000 in a commercial litigation matter involving its client, a Real Estate Investment Trust that is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. The Firm's client owns and operates several substantial commercial properties throughout the United States, including office buildings in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
When one of the Company's large tenants breached its commercial lease, it turned to THE BERENT LAW FIRM. After aggressive pre-trial maneuverings, the case was tried. After a multiple day trial, the Firm's client prevailed.
The Company was awarded all damages sought for the breach of the lease, including all of its attorneys' fees, court costs and both pre-judgment interest and post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law.
